This project which was initiated in 2000, involved the master-planning of a new district comprising over 2200 new homes located around a new town centre. The Masterplan was informed by the Belmayne - Clongriffin Local Area Plan and sought to provide varied mix of homes at a sustainable density of over 50 units to the hectare. A clear movement hierarchy was developed over the entire plan area through the utilisation of different street typologies. The tight urban grain, massing of the buildings and varied open space design serves to give legibility throughout the development.
